2 IndexLabel statements between [WM-Record] tags??
    Hi Everybody,

I'm having no problem using one [WM-IndexLabel ] statement between [WM-Record] tags.... However, I often want to use 2 IndexLabels within a pair of record tags.

I'm NOT trying to nest one IndexLabel statement within another, or combine them with [WM-If] statements.

I only want to do something simple like this:

    [WM-IndexLabel: section]

This is the beginning of section number [WM-Field: section nolink].

    [WM-IndexLabel: sub-section]

This is the beginning of sub-section number [WM-Field: sub-section nolink] .

    Ideas anyone??

**** I really, really don't want to use if/else to trigger these section and sub-section headers! That's because this is only a simplified example, and the real example is more complex, and would not allow if/else statements since WebMerge (apparently) can not deal with nested if/else statements.

The WM-IndexLabel tag currently can only be used once per page. It maintains a lot of internal elements to keep track of where it is, and using more than one on a page may yield unpredictable results.

This is the first time I've seen a request to have more than one per page, and I can see how it would be useful so I'll see what I can do to support that in the future.

In the meantime, you should be able to get the results you're looking for in two passes: the first run will generate the subsection list in a very simple template, making a new page for each subsection. The second run will use what you have above, replacing the WM-IndexLabel you have for the subsection with an WM-Include tag to pull in the files generated in the first pass.
