Anyone doing the LinkShare Showcase Beta Test?
LS sent me an invitation to do their "LinkShare Showcase"
We will then send you a few lines of javascript code to insert on your website. Our Showcase ad unit is a standard IAB 300 X 250 Medium Rectangle.
    Then they say:
If after trying out our new Showcase Unit you like it, we will set you up with your own account...
will a fee be tacked on to that "account"?
I imagine "free to try" and "pay a fee if it's successful"

Has anyone else received this invite from LS? What are your thoughts?
    I don't usually use 300 X 250 Medium Rectangles, how about you?
Does anyone have additional info on this?

Rhia, it sounds like of like they're testing the waters for something that's a cross between the Adsense format and the LMI/JS that CJ tried to switch over to.

Not all the time, that's one of the sizes used for Adsense adverts.

I'm not keen on that...I think I'll pass.

Thanks for that bit of info

If they payout is better or if you make more money... why not?

If you decide to test it, I would definately want more information if I was you.

    If not, move on

Rhia7 posted earlier about what's probably the same thing

    http://forum.abestweb.com/showthread.php?t=89935

Trust, could this be a phishing scheme to get people's account information.

Ah, didn't see that post from yesterday. Not sure about the phishing, just read about it at:

    http://salvo.ws/2007/05/22/linkshare...er-ad-network/

And then noticed the Domains By Proxy and the logo looked very amateur. Maybe the Linkshare Mod can fill us in.

I think they are pushing a new pilot program but I would be weary as the site looks like an amature's work

    LinkShare Showcase Ad Network Pilot
Some of you may have received a message from LinkShare inviting you to be a part of a pilot test for LinkShare Showcase, our new ad network. Initially we are looking for bloggers to test LinkShare Showcase.

If you are a LinkShare Affiliate, you have a blog, and are interested in helping us prove out the LinkShare Showcase offering, please email showcasetest @ linkshare.com and provide your LinkShare username.

Watch for more details on the LinkShare Showcase launch in the Affiliate Newsletter and at the LinkShare Symposium next month.

    Ranae

P.S. The URL that was posted here on ABW as the Showcase site was just a test interface being used by our developers, and was not meant to be public. It does not in any way reflect what the actual site will be like.

Will we ever get rid of this Legal Notice when we log in? Shouldn't you fix the broken parts of the existing network first?
