    Code 405
This week I saw in the status log 56 code 405.

I look up the meaning and it state:

    Method Not Allowed

The method specified in the Request-Line is not allowed for the resource identified by the Request-URI. The response MUST include an Allow header containing a list of valid methods for the requested resource.

How can I look for the error.
I do not quite understand what it means. Can someone kind enough to explain it in simple layman terms.

    Thanks
    Richard

I got this error by using a non standard character in the URL. I can't recall which character caused it to occur but I believe it was %.

It suddenly started to occur when my server was upgraded.

I got round it by encoding the url in php using urlencode() in my php script.
