Talking Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End
My company gave 1/2 day off today and my dept went to see the Pirates. I personally like it but some said that it was too long.

I think it was better than Pirates 2: Dead Man's chest as there was more suspense, a twist and... hate to give away the ending, so go catch it.

Overall, a good show and it exceeded my expectation. Maybe i did not expect much from a sequence

I think this is one of the best show i have seen this year.

300 - the movie was a two thumbs down.
wild hogs, OK but not a blockbuster to me.
a few other shows I watch and forget.

Will try to catch Shrek 3, and SpiderMan 3 (which I heard was just OK).

Rexanne, let me know what you think about it...
    enjoy

They had a showing at 8:00 on Thursday and we were going to take all the kids, but it was high school finals the next day for two of them so we missed it. Then we left for a camping weekend today. Darn, darn, darn. I'm really anxious to see it. Maybe it will rain and the I can suggest we drive into the nearest town (hmmmmm).

I would like to counter that remark with "I think this is one of the WORST shows I have seen this year."

I thought I was going to DIE waiting for it to end, and in fact, I don't even like Johnny Depp anymore.

Actually it was OK but I would say WAY too long and not worth the price of admission. LOL!

I am sure Connie will love it though!

OMG! I was dying laughing through the whole thing. Me and my daughter couldn't stop. Johnny was hilarious! Make sure you stay past the credits, there is a small clip at the end, am sure part 4 will be on it's way in a year or so.

My favorite part was where they had all the Johnnys together. Oh, and when he was licking. OH, and when he was all sweaty...and...well any scene with Johnny in it.

I think I shall be going again tomorrow.

    I LOVED IT!

Yeah, it was too long but amazing anyway. The scenery and set design were really spectacular! And WILL!!!! OMG ...

Arghhhhhhhh ... didn't see the scene after the credits. There was a mob of people crawling over me at that point.

Definitely worth seeing IMO. Might have to go see it again just for the after credits scene.

    I liked 300, was a cool movie.

Spiderman 3 was good, but not great. Kids loved it.

Shrek 3 was good, but not great. Kids loved it.

Going to see Pirates 3 on Sunday.

That's a great idea I just rented all the horrorfest movies on pay per view because I didn't get to see it in theaters. What a let down, I've seen better, gorier flicks on Sci Fi

I can't wait to see Pirates either, planning a girls day next week to go see it

Johnny was awesome, as usual! I loved the multiple Johnny's.

The clip at the end was awesome. My friend and I went to see it at the drive-in Thursday night and the owner/announcer was kind enough to tell everyone not to miss the scene after the credits. I'm so glad he did.

There are literally hundreds of hard-working, creative people involved in the production of any movie, and the unknowns among them, as well as the "stars", deserve their brief moment of notoriety by having the movie viewer see their name on the screen. It infuriates me when as soon as the movie ends, virtually everyone races across the row and down the asle, blocking the screen so the few of us who are interested in the credits cannot see them. And few of them realized that the occasional movie does have that after-credits scene.

I thought it wasn't bad, much better than 2. I'm usually not all gung-ho about these kinds of movies, but 3 was entertaining.

That said, I *hope* they DO NOT make a fourth! I wish some movie producers would just leave a trilogy at that, three movies. No need to beat the series to death.

Maybe they should put up chains in the theaters to require the audience to stay in their seats until after the credits - similar to a complaint by AffiliateHound in another thread.

P.S. We went to the drive-in Saturday night and watched it. It was better than the 2nd one, but still not as good as the original.

300 did not live up to my expectation. I thought that it would be close to Gladiator's level, but it was highly animated.

Need to go catch Shrek and SpiderMan next week

Agreed. As much as I USED to like Johnny, this series has been beaten to a pulp ( uh, oh, I sense Connie's wrath.....)
