    Talking Best Day Ever!
I was sooo mad when they discontinued my diet vanilla Coke, but after a year or so going through withdrawls, it is back! I was at the grocery store today and spotted it! It is now Coke Vanilla Zero! I bought tons, might have to buy it all up for backstock in case they decide to stop making it again!

If they ever get rid of it again, it's easy enough to make. Just buy some sugar free vanilla syrup (like the Da Vinci bottles sold at coffee shops) and put it in Diet Coke.

Come on Connie, you can afford it. If the flavor gets discontinued again, just call Coke and order a custom batch.

ya know, like Howard Hughes. He once took a liking at the Baskin Robbins banana-nut ice cream. When his aides discovered that Baskin-Robbins had discontinued the flavor, they put in a request for 350 gallons, the smallest amount the company could provide for a special order.

ya know, you can do that too.

... when the specially ordered ice cream arrived, Howard announced he doesn't want it anymore.

So his casino-hotel ended up giving away free banana-nut ice cream to casino customers for a year.

Connie.... dependency is exactly what the Columbian cartel behind Coke wants!! Check out the Betty Ford clinic for their Vanila Coke rehab program. Just say NO to Coke!

The all too typically sad story...

They'll bring it back just long enough to get you and other innocent souls hooked again. Then, when you're at your peak consumption, they suddenly pull it off the market.

Soon after, they fill the streets with their network of dealers and pushers. Oh sure, at first they'll act liike they really care about you. They'll even give you a few "comped" fixes. They may even pour it over ice and put a cute little umbrella in the glass, with Merichino cherry on a tootpick to entice you even more...

But then, before you know it, the good guy facade ends. You lay awake at night craving more. You hock your jewelry and everything else it takes to support your habit. You're begging them for more, spending everything you've got to get that next "rush."

A year later, you're out of money and they own you. You're reduced to turning tricks for a 12 oz fix!! You're "their girl" - that is, until the next unsuspecting soul takes your place. Then they discard you like yesterdays garbage. I've seen the same sad story played out over and over again....

Remember grape Ne-Hi?? Moon pies? The McRib sandwich? $1.00 movies? And the list goes on......

Next time you see some indigent looking guy in tattered clothing, standing on a corner holding a "will work for Ne-Hi" sign, you're looking at the future...

Don't fall for their scheme girl... Get a grip NOW, while you still can. My prayers are with you...

Don't worry Connie, AmeriTrustRx is obviously a pusher and has worked the streets in some capacity.... LOL!

Just stock your bomb shelter with a large enough supply to hold you over until the next release. Coke is known for taking stuff away, scaring the crap out of everyone, and then bringing it back.

Ever wondered why they named it "coca" or "coke" and kept their formula so secret?

The Coca-Cola® Co tells a slightly different story, but the true facts seem clear that Coca-Cola was invented by a pharmacist named John Pemberton in 1886, and that until sometime around 1902 actually did contain some small amount of cocaine.

Any one interested in a fascinating book on the real story of the company and the drink, try "For God, Country and Coca-Cola" by Mark Pendergrast, Basic Books, 1993

Hey Anne, I worked my way to the top without hitting the streets - and I had a big future ahead of me too! I was actually up for the coveted "VC Recruiter of the Year" award in 2001. But the bright lights and fancy living got to me. I had to get out of it. Couldn't live with what VC was doing to innocent people.

I've been V-Coke "clean" now for 6 years, replacing the VC with Diet Dr. Pepper and a wedge of lemon or lime. Some say that's going overboard, pushing the envelope, but think I can handle it! LOL

BTW, the excellent info from AffHound is right on. "Coca" Cola absolutely did contain a small amount of cocaine until the early 1900's.

I have a friend whose wife loves VC, so we keep a 6 pack in the downstairs fridge in case they drop by. But Ellen and I are Dr. P groupies!!

Have you tried Diet Berries & Cream Dr Pepper? It's awesome!

P.S. You can tell the die-hard Dr Pepper fans because they know that it's "Dr Pepper" rather than "Dr. Pepper".

I have to agree with the Diet Dr Pepper fans - I think its way better than even the regular Dr Pepper. I haven't even seen the berries one though! I'll have to keep an eye out for that.

Connie - did you try the cherry vanilla diet coke? I think its probably better than the Diet Vanilla.

I hate cherry flavored anything. Guess it reminds me of cough syrup.
I do like diet Dr. Pepper too, but right now I am getting my Coke Vanilla Zero fix!
