Affiliate Manager Brings Doughnuts and Gets The Job
Just got off the phone with Greg Hoffman who posted about his frustration with job hunting albeit no response back for a perfect fit: http://forum.abestweb.com/showthread.php?t=89778

The good news is that he got a job and a sweet deal all in one. Looks like he is going to be the Affiliate Network Director at Think Partnership which is the parent company of KowaBunga/My Affiliate Program (MyAP).

I have several programs running on an older version of MyAP and have great respect for it. Congratulations Greg and how about opening a forum on ABW??

    Ahh, I remember that thread.

Cool, appears sending in Dunkin Doughnuts did it's magic.

Thank you Chuck and thank you Shawn Collins. Shawn broke the news on his blog today.

Think Partnership is an amazing company. I'm really looking forward to working with all of our affiliates in the Kolimbo and Primary Ads networks.

Secondbite is about as sleazy as it gets.

I am not sure I would want my name affiliated with such a thing. It's just a matter of time before someone sues the p*ss out of one of their merchants for breech of privacy.

Greg, can you honestly say that Secondbite is ethical?

I only work for Kowabunga/Kolimbo and Primary Ads. I haven't learned about SecondBite yet so I cannot comment. But I'm certainly willing to hear what everyone has to say in due time.

I got an email today from Greg Hoffman at Think Partnership, in which he writes:

My name is Greg Hoffman and I am the new Affiliate Network Director for Think Partnership, based in Clearwater, Fla. This is exciting news for all the affiliates that use Kolimbo. We are building a division of new affiliate managers for you to work with in the Kowabunga network and the Primary Ads CPA network.

Our job is to help you make more money. We'll be available to answer your questions about affiliate marketing, lost passwords and Kolimbo interface questions. If you need some suggestions on which merchants will work best for you, we'll be here. You can reach us by email, phone or instant message. Let us know what you need to increase your commission checks every month.

For news, updates, case studies, new merchants and anything related to affiliate marketing or the Kowabunga affiliate network, check our blog and subscribe via RSS or email: (link removed)

Keep this contact information handy and we hope to hear from you soon: (private contact info removed - I'm sure folks can find it easily enough)
I responded with the same very negative response I've posted here on ABW over the past few months: in my role as an affiliate, I am migrating my final Kowabunga merchant relationship to another network; and although I strongly recommended Kowabunga as an affiliate-techology solution to clients as recently as two years ago, I now recommend very strongly that all merchants avoid (or leave) the Kowabunga/MyAP programs.

As others note, it would be nice if Greg could persuade the company to reverse some of the self-destructive decisions and actions that have occurred since its acquisition by Think Partnership, but I'm certainly not holding my breath. I continue to believe that the company (Kowabunga), which was once a leader in its field, is now in a "death spiral," Like others, I believe that Think Partnership is unethical.

You should see the spread they had at Affiliate Summit. I guess the size of your booth is somehow supposed to represent legitimacy.
There could have been 4 merchants in that space that added value to the event. What a waste!

After I read this and other posts, I realized he was running Linensource back then. One of the worst, never responding to emails.

I don't know a lot about the jobs within affiliate marketing networks, but I would think having a position for less than a year and then needing to find another would indicate something important.

It's about 4-5 hrs. Depending on whether you have a lead foot?
Tampa heading south then across the Everglades to Miami
Or you can go North East to Orlando and then head down the turnpike.

According to his LinkedIn profile, he's no longer working there. He mentioned it on his blog, too...says it was due to politics.
