I'm sitting here working with the news on. They have all kinds of reports about shopping and about how more people will be shopping online this year. I saw fatwallet.com flash across the screent. So i just emailed all of my local TV stations, telling them about my site. You never know, if you have a good site and you're a local, nothing like some free advertising. Worth a try.

Sales are everywhere, sales are mine.

Great Trust1. I believe the keyword is LOCAL! We as affilates are all competing against the big players,AmazonE-bay and now Yahoofor sales. We should focas on our local markets and develop some loyal customers. I for example live in a city of close to 1,000,000 people. Now if I can cultivate 100,000 of those into frequent users then I will have a good customer base. This means giving them good customer service. I also beleive one should look at drop-shipments and buy sell programs as a means of revenue.

We have received some such publicity in the main line print press, (but never for a shopping site) so I'm wondering... would you just let us know what kind of traffic boost you saw? I've heard stories of people's servers crashing when they get such publicity, so I'd like to know if you are willing to share.

    Thanks!

My traffic went up 25% for 3 days afterwards. Hopefully got some new returning customers out of it!

Anyone know of an example of this possibility?:

I've thought of hiring a banner tow plane to fly over certain heavily populated areas displaying a "whatever.com" spill. I know others have done this. Anyone know of any (if so) success with such first or second hand?
