    Checks Past Cashing Date?
    Hello:

I have a few checks that I had misplaced, and they are now beyond the valid cashing date. I was wondering if it is somehow possible to get these checks reprinted and resent to me.

Has anyone here had any experience with this?

I tired to email Linkshare, but their contact form doesn't work.

Thanks for any help you can give.

    Bill

This happened to me and I sent it back asking for them to re-issue it. I was told the books where closed of for that period. It was'nt so much the money but the excuse I was given. I threw it out. I guess if it means that much to them then they can keep it.

If it was more than a year, I don't blame them. If you can't keep up with checks, get direct deposit.

Be sure to take care of this, because a while after a check has not been negotiated, they will stop sending payments to you with a reason of "lost contact with publisher" or something to that effect. The fact that you have received and cashed more recent checks is not brought into consideration when they decide to cut you off.

What exactly is the normal 'cashing date' for a check these days?

Does it depend on the check issuers bank?

I think it's usually btw 90-180 days, and typically depends on the bank.

It usually states the limit right on the check. If I remember, before I signed up for LS direct deposit, most of the checks said not valid after 120 days.
