AllAffiliatePro Spams after MYAP price increase.
    Hi,
It's been brought to my attention that MyAP will be seriously hiking up their prices for old customers at the end of this month. To this end I've been contacted by a lot of desperate site owners who need help. I've decided to off you 20% off our regular price of AllAffiliatePro affiliate program solutions.

So as not to be as not to be accused of spamming I will not post any links, the coupon code or any more details of this. Please contact me if this effects you.

This is just a one off promotion due to the amount of calls and emails I've had from people who cannot afford the MyAP price increase. Apparently the prices went up a while ago, but older customers were not effected. Now all the old customers are being forced onto the new rates. I'm not looking to do any monthly ongoing advertising.

    I'm just trying to help.

    The $75 is:

New program / announcement Unlimited Replies

So you only have to pay once and can have unlimited replies. Good deal in case you have possible customers here wanting to ask questions.

You might want to read this thread:

    Spammy Introductions = Cheapskate Merchants

    By extension, you could say:

Vendors Trying To Sneak In A Free Ad = Cheapskate Vendors

For your own good, I'm going to delete this thread after you have a chance to read this response. Being such a cheapskate will do you more harm than good.

This is just a one off promotion
Payment for an ad is one-off too. No recurring bills

due to the amount of calls and emails I've had from people
Why the desperation in seeking out new clients then?

I don't think that the sig helped much either. It's a tad presumptuous...

Just as a social experiment, could this have gone the opposite way if it had been posted in the Exclusive Offers and worded a little (a lot) differently? It really shows the importance of copy, but even more so, the importance of understanding your target audience. The posters on this forum, for the most part, are of above average intelligence, and spend a lot of time reading, and re-reading, marketing copy (their own and other's). You cannot "sneak" in an ad here, no matter how much you disguise it as benevolence, however a lot can be saved in the presentation.

Thoughts? Was it doomed from the start, or could this have worked out differently?

What's sad is that even after a friendly push in the right direction, he still didn't get it.

Now, even a paid ad wouldn't do him any good.

Would a paid ad have been a good investment in the first place? I have no doubt that it would have produced great results.

    Ok,
Was just trying to help... You may as well delete this post. I don't need the grief.

This wasn't ment to be an ad. It wasn't meant to be spam, I was posting a message to a forum where I thought the readers may have been interested. No it isn't worded well or have great ad copy, because it wasn't ever meant to be an AD!

My wording was clever enough to make it seem like it wasn't an ad.

So the wording was really bad copy, but now you are saying that it was actually really clever? Make your mind up.

I just checked this and only here and 1 other forum is showing a post from me. I've been an active member of the other forum for years. I admit I've only lurked on this one.

    "Hi All,
It's been brought to my attention that MYAP will be uping their monthly fees for all clients. I was wondering how many people here will be effected by this?" - Posted to other board

You classing that as spamming as well??

6 posts a lot of spamming? Geez, I'd better be worried about being arrested... Just the other day a spammer went to jail for sending millions of emails a day for years...
I've posted 6 times, different messages.... aghhhh....
I can hear them at the door now....

No officer it wasn't me... LOL!

P.S. Don't you dare start on my momma!
P.P.S There is absolutely no need to swear
P.P.P.S Can someone fill me in on what "KMA MFER" means???

Also Heiko "KMA MFER, THEN GET A LIFE."? Get a life? That's a bit harsh you know very little about me. I've won 7 kickboxing titles, Run my own KB club in my spare time, have recently started a small photography company, have a very, VERY Beautiful girlfriend who's now my first model.... And YOU are telling ME to get a life? To be honest I'm very happy with my life right now. Your attempts to brand me as a spammer or anything else for that matter will not stick as I do so many things for so many people. Good always prevails...

Luke... Beware the dark side of the force...

    1 unsolicited post is

6 is obviously 6 times worse!

Your lack of ethics is the crux of the problem, NOT the number of times you commited it.
