    Any idea of extract articles from website to database?
    Hi, folks,

    Anyone has some idea about web page data extraction? I mean, to extract the articles of some particular websites, and save them into datafeed format?

    This could ease the task of copying & pasting all the contents.

    thanks

    This is for your own site's content? You aren't planning to download other people's content and use it as your own, correct?

    If you're referring to website scraping, that's a practice that is not recommended and is frowned upon here.

    Why don't you just links to them, instead of scraping their content they spent a long time creating?

    I asume you are talking about the article directories that let you republish content in their original format included the links to the writer. Second you have to get permission to fetch the content automaticly because indeed not every website will like it if you do this

    What I would do if i wanted something like this and had no idea how is the following

    Goto hotscripts.com -> php section -> tutorials -> webfetching
    http://www.hotscripts.com/PHP/Tips_a...ing/index.html

    there are tutorials that will teach you how to get the content of other sites

    But ... be sure that you are allowed to do it. Ask first!
