    I want to make my problem a bit clearer .
    I am using a 1and1 home package that does not support .php pages ,so copying the php code wont work for me , the package supports asp I will try to add the asp GETDATA information to my site.
    I have an .html page now I want to add the following asp data from Goldencan to it:
    <%
    Dim SID, URL, PageURL, objXMLHttp, IPAddress, UserAgent
    SID = "1C0E40FA-CC5B-4592-B8E7-BA9EB128F8FF"
    IPAddress = Request.ServerVariables("REMOTE_HOST")
    UserAgent = Request.ServerVariables("HTTP_USER_AGENT")
    PageURL = Request.ServerVariables("URL")
    PageURL = PageURL & "?" & Request.ServerVariables("QUERY_STRING")
    PageURL = Server.UrlEncode(PageURL)

    URL = "http://si.goldencan.com/GetData.aspx?SID=" & SID & "&PageURL=" & PageURL
    URL = URL & "&IPAddress=" & Server.UrlEncode(IPAddress)
    URL = URL & "&UserAgent=" & Server.UrlEncode(UserAgent)
    SET objXMLHttp = Server.CreateObject("Microsoft.XMLHTTP")
    objXMLHttp.Open "GET", URL, False
    objXMLHttp.Send()
    Response.Write(objXMLHttp.responseText)
    %>

    now I have tried copying the data to my page but nothing is working ,Im obviously missing something simple that will activate it(so to speak)
    Has anyone had any experience with asp and this type of situation.

    Try renaming your goldencan.html page to goldencan.asp then copy and paste the goldencan code. The server will not run the code if it is in a html file. Hope this helps.
