    Got ketchup?
As an extension (or afterthought) of the hot dog thread, I thought I'd ask about your nasty ketchup habit. You know -- the thing you put ketchup on that you don't like to talk about because -- well you know people are going to look at you funny.

    So I'll fess up first.

My absolute favorite sandwich in the whole wide world is scrambled egg and prosciutto on soft Italian bread with -- that's right - ketchup.

    Now it's your turn. <elg>

Just hamburgers and french fries and family (tater tots) So that's all normal. I use A1 steak sauce with my mashed potatoes along with the other things it's for.

Okay, I know this is going off topic, but Trust started it...

I like Ranch Dressing on my mashed potatoes (or even on baked potatoes). Depending on the brand (like Kraft Three Cheese Ranch), it gives it a flavor kind of like sour cream, butter, cheese, and/or bacon.

Okay, my ketchup habit might be a bit quirky but you guys -- that's just gross. Sorry but somebody has to tell you.

People do weird things to meatballs. Like one woman I knew put a raisin inside of each meatball and another woman made a meatball stew with grape jelly in it. Oh and speaking of grape jelly, I knew a guy who put grape jelly on bologna sandwiches.

This is a huge dirty secret but I put ketchup in my Shepard's pie and in my taco sauce.

I also put Balsamic Vinegar on mashed potato.

That's not weird, though. You're supposed to have ketchup on your meatloaf. Aren't you?

I am sure from past experience this will freak out everyone here. But my family always uses ketchup on Macaroni and Cheese.

I've never found anyone else that does it. Don't know why we do it. But at this point, I can't eat Mac & Cheese without it.

And is there a difference between Catsup and Ketchup? Perhaps its geographical?

I don't eat Ketchup usually. Instead I substitute Mayo. Yep, mayo on french fries. YUMMY!

    Michael,

I know what you mean. I LOVE Kraft Ranch Dressing with Bacon. It's great on potato products of all kinds, fries, mashed, chips... it's all good. Yum! I'd even put that on a hot dog. Maybe I will!

    Ranch dressing on taco salad.

Ketchup goes on anything with hamburger - like meatloaf, meatballs, etc.
    but mostly..... scrambled eggs.

I'm trying to learn to eat salsa instead so I can lose the sugar that's in Ketchup.

Haven't had a bottle of ketchup in the house for years. Its just so blah

Salsa, Picante or Hidden Valley Original Ranch (no substitutes) are all interchangable and a tastier alternative to ketchup

I don't use ketchup very much. Sometimes on fries, but don't eat fries very often. I don't put ketchup on my meatloaf either. I will tell you though that the best thing affiliate marketing has done for me is no more generic condiments! I buy the namebrands baby.

I love mustard relish on my hotdogs. Mayo on burgers.

I thought I was the only one to use ketchup on macaroni and cheese! Also, my favorite is ketchup on grilled cheese sandwich, and with dill pickle slices, too. Mmmm...

Mmmm I could put ketchup on just about anything, but I always get the sugar-free 'ketchup-type product' to keep it healthy. Sometimes I'll put it on raw veggies like mushrooms, peppers or broccoli - it's actually not bad!

I don't really use ketchup abnormally. My weird thing is putting caeser dressing on rice... it sounds funny but tastes so good.
