Apple.com has them, although I believe they won't ship for 3-4 weeks.

However, almost all Apple stores have them *in stock*. Not sure about company-owned Cingular stores, but I'm guessing a fair number of them have them, too.

Check iPhone availability at a local store: http://www.apple.com/retail/iphone/

I'm still waiting for my ibrick to activate, so you won't get any recomendation from me, AT&T has said FU to the consumer with this fiasco.

    I don't understand
I don't understand "ibrick," I suspect I understand "FU" and I am unsure about "fiasco". Does "fiasco" mean that Iphone is a lousy product or that Apple's distribution sucks?

Because of AT&T ineptitude, purchasors who are moving an existing phone number over are currently still waiting for the activation!

The iPhone is basically a paper weight because all you see is the activate iPhone screen, you can't see any other screen unless your dailing an emergency number even though the apple.com site specificaly says you can still use the machine to make calls and use all the other features. So basically you wait on line for however many hours (6 in my case), then you wait to download the itunes upgrade (another three hours day 1) and then what was designed as a 6 minute activation process has become a FU and consumer debocle because now you have to wait another 24 hours. Then after that 24 hours is up you call and wait another two hours to speak to someone who says .... get this ... you have to wait another 24 hours.

When you ask what happens when that 24 hour period your answered with, we hope not.

I don't even have AT&T service [yet] and I already hate them. FUATT!

Amazing how poor planning and dismal customer service can turn someone from and excited new customer into a disgruntled customer overnight.

I hope they get you up and running soon so we can hear about all of the neat features an drool.

Been reading the same thing in a few other forums. Everyone is having the same issues. That's why I'm waiting for v2.0 after all you early takers get the bugs worked out and they add new features.

Interesting comparison of apple and att from a buyer's perspective:

Clearly, there is a big difference.
