July 3rd, 2007, 07:00 AM #1Integrating your site template for wordpress
I have already installed the wordpress features on my site but I would like to customize the layout? I would like to have it look like my site template.
Can anybody give some pointers?

That article is a great place to start. Basically, wordpress puts together different files into one page. You've got one file for your header, one for your sidebar, one for your footer, and then a couple different ones for your main bode (depending on if you're looking at the front page, an individual post, a search result, etc...)
The best way I've found to develop wordpress themes is find a pre-built one that is at least close to what you're going for, or at least close layout wise. You can easily change colors and fonts using CSS, but find one that has the basic layout structure that you want, then customize from there. Here's a good place to start for themes: http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Themes/Theme_ListJason Rosenbaum
