    gbot entering search strings????!!!
I was checking the stats of one of my sites when i saw a strange refferal

gallery/thumbnails.php?album=search&search=up not that strange, but the agent was Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Googlebot/2.1; +google.com/bot.html)

is this the bot doing a search or proof of a live person visiting the site from google? It/they seemed to be using meta keywords, but had the "," included such as "album=search&search=B&W," giving it a bunch of bad results WTF entered the search string and felt the "," should be included....

Could be a FireFox user who has the WebDeveloper toolbar installed using the user-agent switcher doing a manual search.

Don't know if it does that or not, I'd have to use it on my own site to see the logs results; but the "2.1" part is the same and I'm not sure is that is the current bot build Google has in use these days. The extension is pretty old. There are Yahoo and MSN and Netscape bot extensions also in the user-agent switcher.

Possibly someone made a link with that query (that Gbot followed) and the "," got into the link. Punctuation getting into links is fairly common with forum software's auto-linking feature.

I just tried to do an example on here, but it seems that this software has been improved, or at least, it wouldn't do it for my test. But I'm sure there's plenty of boards out there running versions that still have that annoying trait.

The search is what it was I just checked the source and the way that the additional thumbnails are brought to the page is through a search string...would have never thought of that....Thanks Leader
