Question Mail delivery failed: returned message to sender
This has been driving me nuts. Every week I get 2 emails on my web hosting email account that says....

This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

SMTP error from remote mail server after RCPT TO:<blah@xxx.com>:
host xxxx.xxx.com [xx.xx.xx.xx]: 550 5.1.1 Account disabled temporarly for exceeding receiving limits

What does this mean? Is this some type of a hack from a form on my site that sends me mail?

It seems that whoever you are sending this message to has their inbox full, i.e. they are over the limit of their inbox. It is not from your side. Tell whoever you are sending the email to, to clean their inbox more frequently.

That's the odd part. I don't send any emails from this email account.

    Virus maybe?

Maybe it is time you switched to a Mac too. Here is a nice thread about switching.

OMG is everything a reason to go to MAC?

I think someone is spoofing your email address in the reply-to line of their spam emails. That way it is more likely to get by filters as it checks to a real domain.

Some fail, and get sent to you. Most got through, scary....

Is there something I can do on my end to stop this?

Not really. I looked into it once for one of my domains that got 50 notices a day for 2 weeks straight!

Most to russian email addresses. I like Russians and all but never visit or email to there.

I had that problem for years. That's nothing you can do about it. I contacted my hosting companies, they all suggested me the only way is to turn off "catch all" email option.

But you'd better inform your hosting company about this, because they might suspend your account if you have too many "spam" activities with your domain even thought is it not your fault.
