Is there any way to link to search results/categories?
Do linkskare offer this feature? I've tried with the advance user selection links but the links only redirect to the homepage of the merchant. I have already read the note to wait for an hour ( I've never experienced with other programs having to wait for links to become active.) but it has been 24 hours now and the links do not work.

I haven't tried this for all LS merchants but Overstock and TigerDirect allows for this in the individual products advanced user section. Open a new window say to Overstock. Search for a broad term like "handbags" and see if the results page has a nice selection of keyword items. I then usually truncate the search results URL to just the shown item category URL and place in the product URL box. example... http://www.overstock.com/Apparel/Han...keywords=purse is an OK URL

or just place this in box http://www.overstock.com/Apparel/Handbags/111/dept.html

You can even add your own clickable graphic
    <img> http://www.get-in2.com/purses.gif </img>

The code generator adds in the affiliate merchant ID

The merchant has to request and pay something to Linkshare to enable the deep linking feature you are talking about, so not all merchants have it. If the links havn't resolved in 24 hours, most likely the merchant doesn't have the feature enabled. Talk to the AM, see if you can get it turned on.

Making up your own hosted Category images and inserting them into the LS individual product link code builder is effective. I always choose a sub-category landing page URL so shoppers don't hit an out of stock page. That way you can use non standard size banner images and thwart those Ad blocking programs like Norton. Even home page or special hot deal page images look different then what every tom dick & harry shows on their pages.
