    SIDs, character limit?
Does anyone know if there is a character limit for SIDs?

I'm just trying 35 characters and they don't seem to be reporting.

    Thanks for the help

The SID can be up to 64 characters, and may include spaces. If spaces, commas, periods or @
symbols are used in the SID, they must be URL-encoded (e.g. %20 for a space, %40 for a @,
    %2E for a comma).

well, I don't use all 78, I just messed up when I was changing my buy.com links, so I ended up with too much in there. I think I usually use about 7 or 8 chars.

I see, well if it sounds strange why I'm using long sid here's why:

My sids are a lovely encrypted mess of characters around 35 chars long. This same sid gets passed to my analytics, getclicky, then I use the API at getclicky to find the sid. This enables me to see who exactly clicked that link - you know the rest. Grrreat for tracking conversions.

    Hi,

We have publisher account in Commission Junction and we are in the process of setting up an affiliate marketing website.
We have all the offers pulled from commission junction and we are placing it in our website. When a user clicks on a particular offer from our site we are appending the unique surfer identification number to the url we obtained from commission junction.

Our url which leads the user to advertiser site looks like :

When the user actually makes a purchase, we are able to retrieve all the commission information except sid through a web service call (Daily Publisher Commission Report Service). We are not getting sid in the response.

    We have tried
also . But still we are not getting sid in the reports.
Without this we are not able to assign the commission to the particular user.
Can you please help us on this?
Am i doing anything wrong in passing SID to the advertiser site? Please help..

    Thanks in advance,
    Anu

Your URL looks correct with the SID on the end. We have at least a few commissions a day that don't get tracked correctly and I think it is most likely the merchant not having SID tracking working. Do you see any transactions reporting correctly? Or is it just for a few merchants?
