    Digitalriver.com?
I see some of my advertisers links are redirecting to them.

Has anybody else noticed this? , if so are you still converting through this type of redirection?

Digitalriver.com is an electronic fullfilment service. It's for downloadable software etc. I don't know how the tracking would work on such a setup. Give me an example and I can tell you more about the tracking.

My zone alarm links go right to digital river, instead of going to zone alarm. This happens on the first click.

What they've done is worked out a deal where Digitalriver hosts a website for them with the delivery from DR. All they need is a script to capture the siteID and create a cookie on the users computer.

So if everything is on the up an up.

If you are a customer and you think you are clicking to zone alarms site, but end up at digital river, would this be misleading on my part? , even though the download is there.

To the best of my knowledge, everything is on the up and up. Digital River approached us some time ago to see if we want to offer software and other solutions to our visitors. They do a variety of E-Commerce solutions, and they seem to be on the good side. As for these other guys carrying software, I wouldn't be able to tell you if they pay or not. I've put a few links but never had a lot of luck with it.

DigitalRiver is some service like Akamai. They host web files and images for their customers and their software enables them serve these files, images and applications very fast to mass audience.

Say, 1000 people are clicking to "buy" button in a mercant's site all at the same time. These services make sure transaction occur fast and smooth.

I do not think any kind overwriting with these kind of services. Boy, have we became that paranoid!

To the best of my knowledge...

"Boy, have we became that paranoid!"

What ever this remark has to do with looking for information on a certain company?

I think that was a sarcastic statement especially since dealing with parasiteware and the like. As Tom pointed out, they approached us about selling software, but I believe it was a third party and to be delivered by digital river.
