After exchanging a couple of emails with Tower Records, I am still a little puzzled. The email sent to me seemed to imply that a shorter cookie duration was designed to....protect their smaller affiliates from larger super affiliates.

I replied that I was puzzled as to how shortening a cookie duration would actually protect me, and asked them to drop by here and begin communicating with the affiliates that hang out here.

So, if by chance they drop by and read this, please begin by explaining, in a manner in which I can understand it, how, exactly, a short cookie duration benefits me.
