Best thing about working from home...?
Mine is being here as my son grows up. He's 11 months and a day, and today I got to be there for his first steps!

Absolutely agree that you get to spend more time with your family. Love the commute. Love the choice of chairs. Love the indoor/outdoor feature too!

I miss working at home. I liked taking breaks and speding time with the family. I worked too good though, because I got too big, that I needed an office and employees. But I do miss beng able to take a 30 minute break and watch a tv show when I'm stuck on something.
oh, and working naked is fun too.

    Hmmm... My top 5 things:

    5. Getting the mail soon after it arrives (oh wait...they're mostly just bills )
    4. Not having to rush in the morning
    3. Afternoon naps
    2. The 10-second "commute"
    1. Spending more time with our 3 young kids

Being able to work on my own schedule, do things I need to and be comfortable doing it. I can't work in a structured environment, I need to be in control. and if I want to travel, I can, and I can still work. It matters not to anyone if I am in my office at home, an airport or a hotel, or even on a beach. As long as the work for clients gets done, I can do my own thing, whether its spending a morning photographing cactus or taking a drive or building a website.

Home AND the office are where ever the computer is.

What I like about working at home

-Being able to work when I feel like it, whether it's 2 in the afternoon or 2 in the morning.
-Having my fury pups snuggled in the recliner with me while I work
-Being able to have LUNCH when I say so, not when someone else says I can
-Not having to wait for someone to cover me when I need to go to the little ladies room

Taking an hour or more to have my coffee and sitting outside in the morning knowing that I don't have to be anywhere. Impromptu yard work or other projects around the house.
Waking up and deciding that today is a fishing day.

I don't fish much anymore, but pretty similar to slipping off to a local stream with a gold pan in hand. A little unscheduled R&R goes a long way.

I never went to a job, so I don't know the experience. But I'm a free man, I don't work on schedules. I work when I want, I eat when I want, I sleep when I want.

Then you might as well go to an office.

I wait a few hours (to "shower and put on clothes") until I actually have to go out.

Being able to work at a leisurely pace.
No more office drama and politics.
No boss breathing down my neck, looking over my shoulders, getting on my nerves.
Can prep nice meals and actually have time to eat them.
    Taking naps.
    Taking bubble baths.
Wearing my comfy house shoes all day long.
    Doing whatever I want!
