    Question Help--
I've been approved to use a datafeed on SAS. I don't know how to implement it.

I use almost all product links. I have a problem with a merchant who is again redesigning their site (2nd time in 6 months) and I have over 400 links that need to be replaced on august 29th - the day before the ezine goes out!

So, since I'm tired of playing their game, I thought I'd try Pets Warehouse on SAS. However, I can't figure out how to implement the datafeed.

My only other option is to create custom links for each product I need. That just seems like a lot of work that I shouldn't have to do.

    HELP!

What have you tried so far?

    Did you look at webmerge?

SAS has a deal with them see it here

Try the SAS MakeAPage feature - it's easy. :-)

    No can do!

I asked Brian about this issue

The Page-Maker will not work with large dB such as ours,
I can't even make the Widgets the standard way.

We're working on something with Popshops but not sure when it will be ready, spoke to Jessie about it yesterday, it look good just not sure when it will be ready.

The webmerge may be worth looking at for now.

Maybe others can suggest other ways to implement a SAS feed.

I have a merchant database where I create a new table for each merchant datafeed. I then update the feed on some regular interval.

That way, I have all the data at my fingertips.

What is webmerge? When I try the make-a-page, I have only standard banners, no products. I like you guys & your stuff, and it's a big deal for me. I want to change - help me to do that???

As I said above make a page will not work on SAS they said our DB is too large to interface with it.

Webmerge is a neat inexpensive solotion for you to 400 pages or in links in 2 minutes.

    see here

I think that may be a very good solution for you short of doing them by hand.

My problem with with using webmerge for the Pets Warehouse file- and I tried it for the first time today - is that some of the columns that I would use for "category", "subcategory", etc., have no entries, and as a result - it fails out during page creation. I've only been using webmerge for a couple of months, and this is the first time Ive tried it on a file this big. I am thinking about trying to break it up into smaller, more manageable files - and just running WM more than once. Its kind of a pain, but should be worth it. I'd sure love some other ideas if anyone has them.
    Cheers,

WebMerge lets you queue up multiple settings files to run in sequence, taking the pain out of multi-run setups by reducing it to just one click.
