I'm having a problem with dead Performics links and banners in general.. Hope this gets fixed soon! I've already had to turn off my PPC.

Last night I added links for a Performics merchant for the first time in months. Now nothing is working!

I was even going to add more of them today.

I think it will be several more months before I do that again, if at all.

We're aware of the problem and are working to resolve it. I will post updates as they become available but at the moment the people with the best info are fixing the problem.

Yes thank you. It would appear from testing links from other Performics merchants that this is not an issue isolated to Target.

I hope hope hopeyour staff gets it fixed today.

It is more widespread, but I don't have specifics at the moment.

I hope hope hopeyour staff gets it fixed today.

The servers should be redirecting now, although there are still some unresolved problems so you may still experience problems. I'll keep posting updates when I hear them.

The problem is in fact resolved. We've identified the root cause and have taken action to ensure it will not recur. I'm sorry for the error and inconvenience.

Slowly. We're working on a template that affiliates can use that will ensure the proper tracking parameters are included (their web site is very picky and we can't readily support their requirements via ConnectCommerce). Once its ready, we'll be rolling it out in phases to ensure we don't have any tracking problems. I will post an update on this probably toward the end of next week or the beginning of the following. I'm going to be swamped by our summit starting Monday.

    Have a good weekend all.

Does this mean that the BYOL for Target that we made before the feature was removed, aren't tracking?

I'd strongly recommend you clear your cookies and test them. The feature was not intended to be displayed for Target (which is why it wasn't available from the main get links page). A bug resulted in that feature being displayed on the available links page, which I'm guessing is where you found it. I hope that I'm mistaken, but I suspect they aren't tracking properly.

As it was clearly stated from the time Target joined Performics that BYOB, whoops, BYOL, would not be available, I figured that was some type of error that there was such a link, especially where it was located, and when this was discussed a few months ago, I believe it was stated that there was no tracking for Target product links created through BYOL or through the "offline" method.

Okay, I cleared my cookies and clicked on a link. When I arrived at Target, the link landed on the correct page and had this added to the end:

    &AFID=Performics_My%20Account%20at%20Performics&LNM=My%20Title%20For%20the%20Link
So, does that mean it's tracking?

Also, I have been seeing sales from these links.

The only way to know for sure is to place a test order. I don't know if Amazon sets a cookie or not to trigger the serving of our image tag. They may also save the information in the session on the server side. But you could try looking at your target cookies to see if the right stuff is in there. Again, this isn't supported at the moment, so use at your own risk.

    good luck.
