    Duplicate Products in Autofeed
    Jessie, Angel,

    I sent an email to support about this, but I thought I'd post here in case other folks are experiencing this problem. I noticed in my autofeed generated pages that quite often there are two of the same product in a row. I've found this in several of my autofeed shops.

    Is this a known bug?

    Hi Meadowmuffin,

    Wanted to throw out two possibilities.

    One thing it could be is that some merchants are running multiple programs on multiple networks and include many of the same products within their datafeeds. In the situation where you are seeing duplicate products in the same feed are they from the same merchant?

    Another thought was that perhaps the search could be too specific? For example if you search for "Harry Potter hardback books", then click autofeed, you will get many of the same items because there has been only so many Harry Potter books and nearly every merchant is selling them.

    Ah! That's a strong possibility! The merchant I've noticed this with has programs on two different networks. However, I was only including products from the SAS program. Maybe the autofeed is picking items from the other program too? It would seem that if that's the case, it needs to exclude the other program.

    No, it won't pick from a program that you haven't already selected. Also, judging from the way the dupes are showing up (in pairs), it looks like a bug.

    Will keep you posted.

    The duplicate product bug is fixed. Please email support@popshops.com if you notice any other problems with this issue.
