Got a domain thru them - someone pushed it to my account.

Requested a transfer to my godaddy reseller account.

    Transfer refused, domain locked.

I never locked it, but okay, go on and unlock it.

    Request transfer.

    Domain locked.
    I unlock it once again.
Go on their little chat thingy. Why does it keep getting locked?

No idea. It is unlocked now, go ahead.

    Request transfer again.

    Why? The domain is locked.

Go on their little chat thing once again. Get this as the response.

Sir, I am facing an error while unlocking your domain.

Well piss on me and this 3 week process of wasting my time and my life. The domain registrar business is so lousy, this goes for service.

I cannot stress, comment on and praise godaddy's service enough. I have never had these kinds of problem with godaddy. And they are the only registrar that I have no had problems with, but this registerfly thing is the worst.

    I always use Dotster

Seriously though, my advice to anyone who asks me which registrar is best is:

"Find one that gives you what you need, at a price you are willing to pay, that has a control panel you like, and provides good support, and stick with that registrar."

When did you get the domain? I think there is a 60 day lock on transfers after initial acquision.

Yes, it's probably the 60 day thing. Incidently RegisterFly is a reseller for enom. So that domain is really at enom. - Turns your search box into money.

The original transfer happened more than 60 days back, i could even take the first lock as something they just do, at that point, i was still a happy camper just going at it - it was until they just couldn't remove it. I had almost forgotten about this domain.

I buy a couple domains one a regular basis. I am forced to signup for accounts across the board, if i check, I bet i even have a dotster account. I simply do not run into this problem outside of netsol - and here. And I can always get around the 60 days by requesting they allow the transfer. I normally buy a domain and transfer it to my godaddy account within a week of the purchase.
