Just curious that if, as of today, ebates is still overwriting linkshare links?

I assume other programs are for sure. Could someone please name then all?

    TIA

    Hi Michelle,

I don't know if they are, but there is still the return-day problem.

If someone clicks on an affiliate link and ebates doesn't pop-up and/or redirect, then great...that is one half of the problem.

The visitor clicks through to the merchant and is now 'tagged' for the affiliate, with a specific return day period. If the visitor then returns to that merchant directly within the return day period (without) clicking on a linkshare link, then ebates is free to activate.

If the user clicks on the pop-up...there goes the original affiliates return-days.

Hopefully someone will be able to address your original question though.

Don't rely on others for this information. Put ebates on your PC and run the tests yourself.

*LOL* I am trying to keep my machine the virgin it is. It has yet to be tainted by the the website molesters! *LOL*

That said, I did install it on our other machine this morning and will be testing away later when my daughter is done using the machine. Since that machine is used just to surf and work on and not shop on, we should be ok until I uninstall it.

You might notice how after you finished and do an successful uninstall how their code still remains in the directory and left behind.

As a safeguard, run Lavasoft adaware after you've uninstalled (you can reinstall easily at their site the next time you test) and if you have issue with the code being left behind, do a manual delete of it .

Thanks! I have adaware and spybot lined up and ready to go when I am done.
