I mean, I can push the obvious, the books, movies or videos. But, what else is there that you would suggest?

Stocks. Especially dot com stocks. I mean, you would have to have a great sense of humor to buy one of those.

Rubber chickens, red noses. There is an I hate clowns affiliate program. Anything dealing with gifts. SnoopyStore might do well.

It might be a good place to put anti-parasite programs like Aluria. People with a sense of humor don't like companies messing with their computer.

Match the type of humor, if it Dilbert like office humor, then you might add office supplies. Battle of sexes humor...dating sites...

    boom!

IMHO bugger all. I was going to try Aluria Spyware Detector but last I looked the banners weren't working (they seem to be fixed now). I've got Urbanscooters.com running with their very cool banners, but a pathetic CTR and zero conversions.

However, I suspect there's a crossover between humor surfers and porn sufers. I *do* get a better CTR with that kind of banner than other things. Oh Wonderfullywacky.com gets some clicks.

Bottom line for me is that after over a quarter of a million banner impressions I'm still struggling to pay for the domain name on my humor site

If you can use products that are irreverent and politically incorrect, PM me for a winner. Yes, it's bad enough that I cannot post it in public.

OK I answered your PM. I hadn't seen your reply here first, and had reservations about another place. Since you're keen on the idea though, see my second PM

Dynamoo if you have US traffic and you don't mind stuff that is tainted by fould laguage, I can hook you up with a few decent programs. They won't pay your rent, but they'll do a heck of a lot better than paying your hosting and name reg. fees. PM me if you're interested, I won't post the URL's here because of the foul language issue.

Joseph we do not know who is here. At any given moment there could very well be a dozen 10 or 11-year old kids reading the board.

So far I'm with Dynamoo - I 'aint found nuthin that sells on my humor sites.

People visiting humor sites tend to be looking for free stuf, and are not in the buying frame of mind

Have you tried personals bro? Just wondering, I used to do ok with those on my mp3 sites (kinda the same in that we give away free content). Hope that helps. Good luck!

    at CJ

Gags, funny t-shirts and phoney magic and practical jokes.

    Just a thought...

Doc is barking up the right tree here.

Another thing to consider, as was mentioned earlier, is that visitors to humor (or humour) sites are not shopping; they just want to read the stupid jokes.

Try to feature products with impulse purchase potential. Something where the prospect says to themself "I've just got to get one of those!"
