There are lots of discussions on that. Try searching for the answer. You can start here

Don't send the clicks straight to advertisers, send them to your site first.

Odds are that these are low-quality popups that nobody pays attention to... Had a brief stint in the popup sales business a number of years ago, before the age of popup blockers, and the traffic was pretty worthless unless you went for a huge scale branding campaign (such as iFilm or X10).

I'm no expert, but I think this method would be somewhat effective if the hits you purchased were targeted hits.

Nope. This method is never effective. The traffic (even when they claim that it's targeted) is pure garbage.

Stick with Google, Yahoo, and MSN if you want effective, targeted traffic.

    You've been suckered.

Traffic is worth lots these days, there's no easy street.

Good news though, most of us have fallen for these scams before we learned the hard way ourselves (including me), so you're not alone.

I am in the process of selling the Brooklyn Bridge.

You could put a toll booth on each end of it and make a lot more money than you can in affiliate marketing.

Would you like to buy it???

Expect a letter from my attorney. I own the Brooklyn Bridge! I bought it from a guy who sent me an email offer. It had a picture of the bridge with lots of traffic.

Good information to know.. I've considered paying for clicks in the past, but now I'm definitely not going to go down that path..

What do you guys think of the Google Adwords program? Is it worth a try? Do any of you use it?, etc...

What's the good of purchasing "hits" if the majority of the traffic doesn't buy something?

I can't believe that "purchasing hits" would help in Adsense at all either -- and Google would surely catch on

The best thing to do is to create sites that would interest people and build upon that.

Many of us use Google Adwords, MS adCenter and Yahoo Sponsored Search to drive traffic.

Do a search on PPC (pay per click) and you'll find tons of information. Pay special attention to posts by Donuts (our resident PPC expert) and a new post today by Liquidate PPC for Product and Service Specific Campaigns. Be careful, PPC done wrong can be a bigger drain on your finances than a drug habit.

    I bought the traffic.

Without the traffic you have nothing.

Want to buy the traffic from me to go along with your bridge??
