According to an analysis I conducted today, 86 Commission Junction merchants are partnered with Morpheus (often cited as the #1 Parasiteware company)

This represents 28% of the total 309 merchants partnered with Morpheus!

NOTE: All but 3 of the 309 Morpheus merchant-partners are with either LinkShare, BeFree, Commission Junction or Performics.

I would appreciate receiving an OFFICIAL comment from Commission Junction on this data.

I think we need to use care when posting these lists at this point in time. There has been a great deal of activity this past week and I know for a fact that some of the merchants on that list are no longer affiliated with Morpheus.

But it takes time for the changes to go through the various networks and time for that information to be reflected on the Morpheus site.

If the lists are posted in 37 different places, it will become impossible to maintain them with any accuracy at all.

I know that Blair was kind enough to drop Morpheus, so they are okie dokie now. But I don't know about the others on there.

I guess we should agree as to where we should be posting the good and bad merchants so we can all be using the newest version.

    AffJus,

Go to www.buyersport.com and just look at the their directory. There may be a couple of merchants still listed there that have dropped buyersport but buyersport just hasn't taken down the link yet. Many merchants or others are posting here when a merchant drops them, so you can always run a search here on the boards to see if a name pops up at you.

Posting the list is a good idea!!! Let me get this straight. A merchant that is partnered with morphus allows morphus to steal the sale (commision) and splits it with the merchant leaving us holding an empty bag? I wonder how this can be legal.

    Dear ABestWeb users,

I wanted to inform that Forzieri.com just dropped Buyersport from its CJ affiliate program. Buyersport has just been notified today.

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any question at affiliates@forzieri.com

That's great. I want you to know that I took a look at your products to see if there was any way I could include you in my line up of Pagan relevant merchandise. So far, I really don't see how I can. But, I want you to know I tried and if I think of something, I will.

How about it folks? let's support the merchants who support us.

How does a merchant with almost 50% chargeback and 1 post to their name get Elite Member status?

    Hi harry,

    Welcome to ABW!

The Elite Member status is because he has access to the affiliate manager's only forum.

This board, and thread, kinda kicked me in the butt. I haven't been spending enough time weeding out my non-performers, and you guys woke me up. Thanks.

I just whacked eHobbies. YTD, over 60,000 impressions, less than 50 click throughs and zero sales (and my site is themed for their type of products). I don't know if I've been victimized by scumware with this merchant, but I do know I gave them some prime realestate; and they did not perform.

Here is what I emailed them:

    ******************************************

    subject: Affilation Terminated

We have decided to discontinue our affiliation with eHobbies due to lack of performance. Even though we feel there was a good fit, the ratio of impressions to click throughs was dismal.

As a courtesy to you, we suggest you check your affiliations for known parasite-ware publishers. It is possible the reason for the poor performance is related to this problem.

    *******************************************

I hope they understand. It's nothing personal, it's just business.

Well eHobbies finally wrote me back and they followed my advice and dropped Morpheus/Buyersport. Now they have to work on eBates and the others. Some spin on trying to get a handle on the 97% reversal rate LOL. They did say they purged there out of stock product catalog and now daily maintain 40,000 items rather than the old 8000 items.
