    htaccess with addon domains
I have hostgator hosting and want to use an add-on domain. Currently I have your Audible script at the root of the master domain with the htaccess as

    RewriteEngine on
    RewriteBase /

    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
    RewriteRule ^(.*)$ cgi-bin/dyse/view.pl?merch=audible&dir=&path=$1 [L]

I have added another domain to the account using the add-on domains function so I can run the BettyMills script.

However when I go to the new domain name all I see is :

unknown merchant: 'audible'. No merchant directory: /home/ignited/public_html/cheap-office-supplies/cgi-bin/dyse/audible

I guess this is to do with the htaccess being used on the master domain. How can I change the htaccess so I can make use of add-on domains?

    Regards
    Adrian

Typically servers support add-on domains as subfolders of your main website. For example, if your add-on domain is myphotos.com then you probably have a subfolder named myphotos.com (e.g.: /public-html/myphotos.com/). Put DySE files in there as if it were your main domain. That is, put a .htaccess file in that website's subfolder and install DySE inside its cgi-bin (e.g.: /public-html/myphotos.com/cgi-bin/).

So, the master domain and the add-on domain have their own .htaccess files.
