Anyone using Ikonboard should be interested in these developments...

This domain name is currently under dispute.

Until this matter is resolved, you might wish to visit the following sites.

    Invision Power Board
    the Bear Spot
    Forum Focus
    YaBB SE

This might explain why my support tickets aren't being answered...

    Here's my theory....
They let the domain expire, and it was snapped up by another party.
Just look at the content, it's all links to IkonBoard's competitors.

I'm sure if IkonBoard had access to the domain, they would have their content up.

No change in the domain name owner:

    <BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><font size="-1">quote:</font><HR>
    Registrar of Record: TUCOWS, INC.
    Record last updated on 13-Feb-2003.
    Record expires on 26-Oct-2003.
    Record Created on 26-Oct-2000.<HR></BLOCKQUOTE>
There's a thread in Google Groups about it.

The Ikonboard site is actually a framed forward to - it looks like someone has gotten hold of the domain entry at the Registrar and changed the DNS settings.

Please leave my port 137 alone.

I recall sometime last year there was a dispute between the founders or creators of Ikonboard and at the time, I had heard that a few of them were breaking away to create their own board. I think this may be an internal dispute, but who knows.

I do know that our users who use it love it and it makes me wonder what is going to happen with that..hmmm

all I know is that the two or three guys who originally wrote the script were fired & went off to start Invision. I'm guessing that they're laying claim to the script, the graphics, the name, and the domain as'll notice that Invision Power Board is at the top of the list...
their support is the absolute worst. In fact, it was the opposite of support when they deleted my database & didn't fess up... Maybe I'm lucky that they won't work on my support tickets...I don't want another catastrophe!

I just checked again & the site is back mention of what happened...
