    Question AdWords Question
I recently created an ad group in AdWords, and for a keyword phrase (exact match) for which I have no competition I am still not seeing my ad.

My budget is set at $10 a day
    My bid is .05
I am within my recommended budget (no way I get close to $10 a day)
I have my campaign set to show ads as quickly as possible
Other ads from the same site, same type of landing pages, are showing.

Yet there are no ads showing when I do a search for this phrase, none. This is very frustrating and I was hoping someone might know what I can do to get my ad to show.

    Thanks for any help.

Check your keywords for any disappoved or trademark terms.

Then use the Diagonistic Tool under Tools, Campaignmanagement to see if that gives you any answers.

How recent did you create this ad? it does take some time for ads to show. ALSO: what is the minimum bid for this keyword? You said you were bidding 0.05 for it. maybe this is too low a bid.

Thanks for the suggestions. I had created it about an hour ago but have seen my other ads appear withing a minute or two. Maybe I just got spoiled by that and shouldn't expect that to always be the case.

If it were a minimum bid problem the system would notify me correct?

It has to be a server issue. My keywords are all showing as active, yet when I ran the campaign optimizer it returned results for all ad groups except the one in question.

I'll just have to give it time I guess, thanks for your feedback.

I'd say just up your bid above .05

Remember that .05 is the max you are willing to pay, not what you neccesarily will. I bid 3.00 and more on some words but only pay about .15 for the click. If you have noone else competing, the cost you will pay for the click should not be high at all.

    Liquidate,

I raised my bids to $1 and still no ads are showing. When I moved them all back down to .05 one was inactive for search until I raised it to .10 so it looks like that's not an issue. It's important to note that at the most I might see 3 other ads, and for this keyword phrase there are none.

The fact that this ad group was not shown in the optimizer results has me thinking this is a technical issue.

    Thanks

    Donuts,

    Here's what it says:

"The keyword phrase doesn't currently trigger any of your ads.
There are several possible reasons your ad isn't showing for this keyword, such as:

    * You just added the keyword to your campaign. You may experience a short wait as your keyword goes through the review process.
    * Our server is experiencing a delay.
    * Your ad delivery is being spaced throughout the day."

I'm thinking it has to be 1 or 2 with my budget being so high and my delivery method set to "accelerated".

Thanks for the tip, I'd never clicked that before.

    yep, it's me.

G uses predictive profiling in their ads now, so when you search for things for your own ads, since you never click on them, G assumes those ads are of no interest to you. i think that's why you're not seeing them. clear your cookies and look again (and don't look logged into your personalized G account either) - alternatively, use their ad preview tool to see if they're showing, this is your best resource to check things:
    google.com/adpreview

    good luck!

Don't be fooled Steve. That's actually his father, Popeye The Sailorman. Donuts is actually a slight little guy about 5' 4" 125 lbs, and he shaves daily!! Much better looking than the avatar too.

    Thumbs up Update
We'll the ads from the ad group in question are now appearing.

Here's an excerpt from the reply email from AdWords supprt - "Please also note that your ad was in queue for review by our AdWords Specialists and was
approved to run only on September 23."

My other ad groups have started to run immediately, and I'm not sure why this one was treated differently; there was a prominent politician's name in the ad so maybe that was why. Regardless, I'm happy to see it running.

Thanks guys for your feedback and for trying to help me solve this issue.
