Angry deficient and negligence of 1800flowers.com
I had ordered flowers and gifts for a business for their founders day on the 14th of Sep. These were ordered atleast 1 week in advance and scheduled for delivery on the 14th.

I get the following emails on the 19th of Sep. Ofcourse the whole point of scheduling delivery in advance was lost and so what the gift/surprise to the founders day recipients.

What annoys me is that if they could not deliver they could have informed me in advance, or atleast on that same day. Rather than wait for 5 DAYS!!!

Terrible service, negligent and deficient. An very annoying customer service in deed.

This doesn't seem like a problem with the 1800Flowers affiliate program.

Not to burst your bubble but of all flowers I sent, most of them were never delivered on time @ all.

One of the problems is that 1800flowers basically forwards your order to a local florist. The local florist is usually more likely to be responsive to a local customer rather than a 1800flowers (or FTD, etc) type customer. I've found that if I want the best chance of getting an order delivered on time, that I should call a local florist and have them do it.

I've had problems with 1800flowers and FTD in the past, especially if the holiday is a major high demand one.

I have had delays with one of the mentioned companies and horrid flowers arrive in the MAIL from the other....
I have returned to ordering the old fashioned way when I send flowers, it seems to be more reliable.

I just sent some flowers recently for same day delivery from 1800flowers, and they got there, and the transaction tracked in linkshare. Maybe a high dollar, same day order gets preferential treatment?
