    Performics Datafeeds - Setting Up and Receiving
    I've applied to receive data feeds from Performics and am waiting to start receiving them.

    I feel pretty confident with my PHP/MySQL skills, and have imported .csv files into Access Databases before with great success. Thus, I think this shouldn't be too much of a problem. I am completely new with getting files via FTP, but that shouldn't be rocket science...

    Could anyone post a list of available fields that are included with the data feed file? That way I could start developing my script and designing my tables. Does anyone know what info is given - is it the same as what you get with the OrangeLinks?

    Also, as said earlier, I'm new to receiving files via FTP (always got them via email before). I keep looking in the root directory (public_html) and a special directory one level under the root directory that was created for these files (I asked performics if they could put them there). I'm not seeing anything.

    Could anyone tell me what sort of a file I'm looking for (.csv, .txt, a file name maybe...) and where would be the best place to look? Its been awhile (supposed to get these by last Thurs apparently) so I think I must be missing something here!

    Any help is appreciated!

    //46 AgeRangeMax
    //47 ISBN
    //48 Title
    //49 Publisher

    The file extension of the performics datafeed files is dependent on the format you ask for. I get gzip and my files are of a .gz extension. I haven't had any luck with getting performics to put them in a sub-folder. They just plop them in the root of the ftp account I have setup for them.

    Hope this helps,
    James
    Merchants, any data you provide to Google Shopping should also be in your affiliate network datafeed. More data means more sales!

    If you requested Performics to push the files to your host, than you would of needed to provide the ipaddress, ftp login, and ftp password to them?

    I did the same a while ago. I created a performics ftp login, which correlates to a performics folder under the public_html folder. So when they ftp to the server and push the files, they automatically go into the performics folder I created.

    So, whatever you choose as the location with the ftp login/password you created for them, is where the files will be.

    All of the files they push me are *.txt.

    Fantastic - thanks for the input! Exactly the info I need to get myself set up. Now if I could just get the feeds... I've been emailing affiliate@performics.com and affiliates@performics.com. I don't seem to be getting a response from either. I added both of these to my address book in Outlook hoping that would keep them out of my spam filter. The contact for performics on this board is very prompt, but I don't want to step on anyone's toes by going straight to the top.

    Does anyone know a better contact addy for the performics datafeeds, or are these the best 2? Many thanks as always!

    To add to this...

    I recently applied to two merchants there that said that had datafeeds. They got back to me to tell me they are checking to see if those merchants have datafeeds. So do not trust that "Datafeeds?: Yes" indication.

    I almost forgot. You NEED to add your Performics ID to the end of ProductURL (third column) link of each entry.

    Thanks for all the input (especially about the performics id - i think the concat function in my script might be useful...). Still haven't seen nor heard a thing.

    Performics were very quick to respond yesterday. The datafeeds were being sent to the root directory for my ftp - not the root of my website(public_html). When I looked, there they were.

    Thanks so much for all the help here - affiliate marketing would be a lot more difficult without this forum!
