New Affiliate Manager - Need help
    Hello,

I am new in affiliate marketing. I am originally specialized in search engine marketing but my boss asked me to develop an affiliation program for our site .

After looking online I found that Post Affiliate Pro 3 had good reviews so I decided to use this software. Now it is installed and working fine but I would like some advices about the offer I made for the affiliates.

For instance I have decided to give 50% commissions for my affiliates and 100% for the best affiliates. Do you think this is enough?

Also I wonder if I have enough banners on the program and if they are nice enough...

So basically I would like some constructive criticism of my work. I am not an expert in Affiliate Marketing but I am willing to learn, and from what I have read there are some good discussions here so maybe you can help me a little bit.

    Thank you for your help.
    Sincerely,
    Florian

You should give more than 100% commission to your best affiliates. 100% is pretty stingy.

Welcome to ABW. Start reading and you will find lots of good information. If you don't have time to read, or even if you do, there are plenty of people here you can hire to consult with and review your program.

I removed your site link so it wouldn't be considered spamming. When you are ready to announce your program and ask for affiliates to review it, go to the New Program Announcement section and buy an announcement. It is worth every penny.

As Loxly said, the best advice is to read, read and then read some more to reduce the risk of making all of the 'usual' mistakes.

    Good luck!

What do you guys mean by "100% is not enough"...

I would like to hear what people mean by that??? I mean, I understand that your top 5% of affiliates are going to be your best producers, so you need to keep them happy. But what are you guys suggesting? Buying them a car ;-)

    Thx

I think it was just a joke...but if the new car is an option, I'll join.

Over 100% really would be a COST per sale!

Well the all new Audi S5 is about be released to the public in November, otherwise realize that the 80/20 rule usually applies. 20% of your affiliates will be responsible for 80% of your sales/conversions. Keep your best happy but still keep a profit margin. I am sure you don't want to work free.
