Solution to Cross Linking Banners on Yumdrop,Frightcatalog and Importcostumes
    Hello Everyone,

Currently YumDrop, Frightcatalog and Import Costumes have cross linking banners but they will be giving credit for all affiliate sales sent to them from one of the banner on the other sites. You must be an affiliate of all three programs in order for them to correctly track where the traffic came from. They are looking for the SSAID in the url, and are dynamically placing that into affiliate links into the banners on the bottom of the page, this way, as long as you are affiliates of all 3 programs, you will receive credit for traffic sent through affiliate links.

For complete transparency, please note that if a consumer clicks through an affiliate link, closes the browser (thus ends the session), and returns to the site, the links on the banners will be regular links. Thus, there is still a minor leak. I've included sign up links to all three merchants below:

    Join Yumdrop Here

    Join Frightcatalog Here Now

    Join Importcostumes Here Now

Please feel free to contact me with any questions!

    Regards,

    Jon Nunez

    Hi Jon

I am no script expert but, if i may suggest to stop the minor leak the banners on the other sites can have a link to a mini script that reads something like:

    if (U=$SSAID)
    echo 'http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?B=123456&U=$SSAID&M=1234'
    else
    echo 'http://www.sitename.com'

This way the leak is closed and click thrus are also tracked.
I am sure the script experts would know better.

    Hi Suniliu,

Thanks for your help. What you've written is almost exactly what we have. The minor leak occurs when someone returns to the site (such as via a direct type in) and the SSAID is no longer a parameter in the URL.

    Thanks again for the suggestion.

    -Jon
