    I wonder who promotes such merchants that limit their occurrences to 1.

    With returns upto 50% in shoe industry, its not uncommon that a customer returns the shoe and purchase any other from the store, that of course will happen often with Free Overnight Shipping & Return Shipping. If a customer returns, you will see a charge back, he buys another product of different size, because last one was smaller, YOU don't get the commission.

    FYI - I think zappos talks about a 30% return rate. Figure if they do about 600 to 800 million a year in sales - think of the dollar value of the returns
