I see that a lot too. I think it didn't track the last page clicked, and for some reason that particular character is inserted, due to the application that runs the interface. Maybe Brian will see this - I'm curious too.

Bots (Googlebot, Slurp, etc) also generate a lot of these.

That's why I added an "also" post. Check the IPs. If you don't use redirects, you'll see that bots account for nearly all of those commas.

I don't know how to check that. No IPs are listed in the SAS today report. Even if I see in my website stats. that a bot visited my site, how would I know if it was the bot that 'clicked'?

Ahh, sorry. Looks like the IP only shows on the merchant side. I thought it showed on both, but my mistake.

From what I've seen there, 9 times out of 10 the IP on the comma clicks belongs to Google, MSN, Yahoo, the Adwords bot, etc.

As for bots clicking, they don't in general. Instead they visit a page and retrieve URLs found in HREFs and then visit them later in the crawl cycle. That's why you never see a referring URL for bot traffic.

Personally, I'd like to see SAS filter out certain traffic that fits the most common bot footprints.

It would be great if they'd do that since it must affect EPC. Overall I'm happy with SAS reporting. It seems to be more responsive than CJ.

Oh yes...Shareasale tracking is one of the best in the market with just a bit flaws which can be neglected.
    Keep it up Brian.
