    Keyboard w/Lit Keys?
My keyboard is dying. The M, S and Space keys are going to be the first to go. I've had it a long time and we're really quite attached, but... (sniff)...I just have to come to grips with it, where there is a beginning there is an end.

But I hate to be cruel and just start looking online before (you know) before it takes its last click. Plagued with guilt, I've caught myself thinking about how nice it would be to have a keyboard that lights up. By the end of the day lamps bug me and I find myself with my nose almost touching the keyboard as I type.

If my current keyboard could talk, it would probably say my dreams are saturated with 'grass being greener' misconceptions. It would remind me of the endless times I've poured coffee down into it's delicate cavity, yet it bounced back - always ready when I beckoned - and that a keyboard with keys that light up would be problematic, all show and no substance, but still (as heartless as it may be) I wonder...

Does anyone use a lit keyboard? Any recommendations?

Hey, I've used this for gaming and just general all around use, but the blue backlit keys are amazing, it's really comfortable to use and you won't regret getting one... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16823126179
The price is pretty decent aswell and the LCD on it can show some cool stats about your PC.

Sounds like a good idea! My "S" key is worn away entirely and a few others are half gone. Part of the reason for not being able to type as well.

Looks like a decent price too. Thanks Andy! I guess those are good for non-gamers too?

lol! What a review! I'm sold. For someone like me whose eyesight isn't too great this keyboard could be a big help. Eighty bucks for a "5 star kick ass" keyboard doesn't sound bad at all.

Yea, it's great all around, but the new one does look pretty interesting... Too bad I've left the gaming scene but for general use, it's really a nice purchase. I don't think there's another backlit board out there that can match Logitech's... They know how to do things right

P.S. I like the current G15 because the keys are blue lol... personal choice I suppose.

I love my New G15 and 80 bucks isn't bad. If I didn't already have one I'd buy it for that price.

Here are some more images and what not for the new version of the G15

I'd have to disagree with you there Mike (unless you are referring to that specific product.) I have a MS wireless desktop elite and have never had any issues with it. Works great and the battery life is very long.

PS: Just visited the hardware geeks site. It is very informative. Thanks and keep up the good work!

Macbook Pro has a backlit keyboard. Plus their new Vista-killer OS, Leopard, is coming out on the 26th.

I will have to check out the feel of the Logitechs next time I am in Best Buy. Maybe I too will "see the Light"... lol. The price seems right anyway.

    . . .

    It's a matter of priorities, I guess.
I think my (nonlighting) one cost $15.

Or just a entry level kb
    hi-techreviews.com/reviews_2006/KB609/P3.htm
Those go for $17-22. Just google "Logisys Multimedia Pro Character-Illuminated Keyboard"

The G15 is more of a gaming KB and IMHO, pretty expensive

I was tempted to get one, but I heard they break easily, and are generally low quality.
