I have a client who wants to have live thumbnail image of websites included in a section of their website. Has any one here had experience with doing this? I tried a few of the free services but the tag the image with thiere URL.
Is there a free script available that I can install to do the job with out showing the URL on the thumbnails.
Any advice is helpful.

Try http://www.thumbalizr.com/. I think someone just posted about this one recently and they don't tag the image. They also allow you to specify different resolutions (320, 640, 800, 1024 or 1280 pixel width) for the thumbnails.

You can try Alexa Site Thumbnail as alternative:
* Pay only for what you use. There is no minimum fee, and no start-up cost.
* $0.0002 / thumbnail returned (i.e. $0.20 per 1,000 thumbnails)
* No charge if the thumbnail does not exist

I think they were looking for a script to install on their own server, rather than a service. I don't know of any though, but it seems like it'd be a cool thing.

Thanks for the feedback. I am looking for something to install on my site or something I could install on my hosting/design site and offer it as free service for clients.
