Question Does anybody know how to deeplink via a DirectTrack URL please?
    Here's a made-up DirectTrack URL:

    http://affiliates.nameofnetwork.com/...CD999/{KeyWord}

Any idea how to deep-link via it please?

Spent ages looking in Google and DT help section to no avail.

    Thank you.

    Deep Linking
    Azam,

In order to deep link with DirectTrack, its better to have the correct variables on the linking URL from the admin side already added. Variables from the landing page must be included in the 'Linking URL' on the admin side.

    Example Deeplink:

Here is an admin linking URL:
    http://example.directtrack.com/track...ffer/%OPTINFO/

Using that Linking URL, here is the redirect link offered to affiliates:
    http://example.directtrack.com/z/555/CD1/

With this redirect link, you would instruct the affiliate to add the proper deep llink variable to the end of the string using the new Sub-ID functionality that DirectTrack offers. Example Instructions:

Description: OFFER SPECIFIC DEEPLINK. This link is for creating deeplinks to Offer Specific pages. You will need to go to the specific offer page, eg., http://www.landingpage.com/offer/35FLEXT885/ and add the offer code to the end of your url. So for example if you want to deeplink to the offer above, then add: "35T525" (without the inverted commas) to then end of the link. Also leave off the last "/" from the link.

In this scenario, the final deep link would look like this:

    http://example.directtrack.com/z/555/CD1/35T525

    I hope this helps!

    DT Deep Linking
    Y'all,
One of the biggest differences with DT is that the merchant needs to setup almost every link, because when THEY (the merchant) sets up the link they define the location of the redirect. You can NOT modify a link, that you get from a merchant that is using DT, to redirect to a different location, don't try.

The example from PITTJRS, who is from DirectTrack, requires the merchant to setup the link properly ** Don't try this at home unless you are working with a merchant to test it **

    Some options:

    1) If the merchant has "custom landing page" feature turned ON then you will be presented with a tool to create your own links, by simply copy/pasting the url and the generater will spit out a newly formatted DT link.

    2) If the merchant is using the DT datafeed tool, then you maybe able to find the product specific links within that feed.

    3) You can ask the merchant to setup a specific link.

As I stated this all depends on what the merchant is doing with DT and in EVERY case involves the merchant.

I hope this helps, remember. Don't try to manipulate the existing link.

    Good luck.

Yeah...I figured! I was thinking the way we could modify links with CJ. Thanks!
