Want to sell (one of) your website(s)?
I'm looking for a couple of websites that I can buy and then take to the next level.

Being in the early stages of my search, I'm not really sure what I'm looking for but here are a few criteria I have arrived at so far.

I'm looking for a site that is:
-generating income or has decent natural traffic that could be monetized.
-not too technically challenging to work with. I'm not a programmer but I can read code and mostly understand and tweak it, especially with some help. I'm comfortable hiring programmers to make changes for me too.
-not a coupon or comparison site (whoa! That's way too crazy for me.)

Maybe you have a dormant site that you've neglected. One that you just don't have the time for anymore, that still has great potential. If you (or someone you know) would like to cash out one of your sites, let me know.

Glad that you realize maintaining a coupon site is crazy .. It does require huge amount of resources and daily upkeep to have any meaningful and quality content (coupon content).

I know you are looking for sites, but I do have some rather nice domains I could sell, if that would interest you. I do have a couple of sites that got taken down last year during a cash crunch that had some traffic coming in. TulipBeautiful.com was one, others if you don't mind rebuilding.

email me at tarpguy at bluemarble.net if you want a list of abandoned sites/nifty domain names.
Following everyone else is a GREAT way to become average.

I'll keep you in mind. I've been doing some decision making the last couple of weeks.

Traffic is not the greatest on any of the sites, but the sites have potential (some more than others).

I'll have to do some "looking" after our trip. I know I've got a few domains and/or tiny sites that need to be rearranged. I've finally realized I cannot do it ALL and need to clean house a bit - to refocus my efforts.

Keep me in the loop if you get a better handle on what it is that you can be passionate about. However, I still think you should consider some of the topics/ideas we talked about in Scottsdale. You'll be a natural if you follow your interests.

No comparison sites? Too crazy as in too much maintenance? What about micro niche comparison sites?

Don't think I'd sell you the one of mine I've been thinking of selling (someone in the niche would pay a lot more after seeing it's seo positions and knowing the value better than those not in the niche), just wondering why you'd avoid comparison sites.

Probably because I don't know anything about them.. how to maintain, learning curve, etc. I'm guessing that they are fairly high on the technical skills level (feeds and things like that).

Beachy- I'm very much thinking about those ideas.. the drawback is those are startups. Generally speaking, I've got enough startups right now, I'm looking to balance some of that with active income generating sites that I can improve... ones a bit further along.

Fair enough reply. As with most things, there's a spectrum, but sure, even my micro niche one may be considered to have tools not commonly found.

Have fun buddy! Hope you find some good ones!
