    Yes, these are actually way to common. If you forward it to ebay, they get the sites shutdown fairly quickly. I've seen this type of thing more than once.

    They forge the ebay addy to get info for indentity theft. Similiar thing to what goes on with aol a lot.

    Be very careful of these things. Ebay and AOL never ask for this type of info. If you get anything asking for that type of info, on matter how legitimate it looks it is a scam.

    Unfortunately I've heard stories where people provided their info and lost all the money in their Paypal accounts. With CC's it's not that bad as you can just cancel your CC, but Paypal doesn't do chargebacks.

    It's real sad that people are actually gonna lose money.

    This is basically a phishing scam, right...? I get similar emails from 'banks' and PayPal - well, not really but you know what I mean. Thanks for the heads up Haiko!
