Anyone use their feed? I just uploaded tonight and several products seem to be out of stock and several images don't show up.

Email them and gripe about it loudly. This is a very bad time of year for feeds to be out of date.

Yes, I got the same thing. Looks like 30-40% of the images are broken.

I think they just offered their feed so they just need to work the bugs out.

I've been trying the make a page and still alot of missing products.

One thing I've noticed is that a lot of the products are out of stock with a Reserve Now button. Does anyone know how that works with us affiliates? Will we get paid the commissions on reserve orders?

    Hello People,

This is my second visit to this web site. While cruising around I saw this message from last year. Although everything has been corrected by now, I just wanted to address the issue of the "Reserve" feature on Christmas Depot. If you refer a sale and the product is backordered, you will receive commission as if the product was in stock. If the consumer cancels the order sometime after that, then we eat the commission, but you still get paid. I just wanted to make sure that you were aware of this.

    Thanks so much! -Mitch

Thanks for the note msladybug. If there is anything I can do to help you with the program please let me know. We always welcome suggestions from Affiliates and if we use your suggestion to build a better Affiliate program, we pay you 50 bucks for the tip. It's not much but it helps with the Internet bill.

Hey thanks again and have a great evening.

I just joined your program and got your feed.

Will be working on it this week.

I hope you don't change it just as soon as I get it out.

    Hey BurgerBoy,

I saw the APP come in and then visited your site. You do a splendid job of displaying products. So nice that I didn't want you to have to wait to request the feed. If I can be of any help or you have any questions, please ask. Thanks and again --------------> Nice Site!

Unless your site is having a problem right now - it sure loads slow and I'm on a fast broadband connection.

If the load is normal for your site you sure need to speed it up.

It's ok from here. Can you perform a tracert to see where the hold up is?

    Hi BurgerBoy,

On SAS - the merchant has to activate FTP access to the data feed on a "per affiliate basis".

I don't use the FTP at SAS.

In our affiliate screen at SAS there is a link to get datafeeds. When we click on it we get a list of the merchants we have joined and a link to their datafeed.

There is also a link to preview the datafeed and a link to download it to our computer .csv

I used that link to download it.

If I wanted my server to connect to the SAS server and download it every day automatically then I would need for you to give me permission to connect FTP.

    Hi BurgerBoy,

Hey, so that's how it works. So the requests I receive are for Affiliates who want to automatically update the feed.

Thanks so much for the info.

Yes - and you need to stay on top of it and approve it right away or they will say to hell with it and move on to another merchant.

You ought to get a forum here and talk to the close to 50,000 affiliates here every day and you will be suprised how many new affiliates you would pick up.

We like to do business with people who we get to know here and who is here every day to answer our questions when we have them.

Having a forum here makes you a member of the family.

    Hi BurgerBoy,

Well maybe I was a bit "too on top" of it, since I sent FTP access to you as soon as you signed up, and you didn't request it or want it.

Anyway, I sent a message to the forum moderator requesting information about opening a forum 2 days ago and never received an answer. I thought perhaps I because I am a "newbie", I didn't qualify for that privlege yet.

    I appreciate your advice.

    Thanks,

    -Mitch

I assume that you are the Affiliate Manager for Christmas Depot.

I'll send a PM to Haiko - the ABW owner for you.

They have all been in Boston at a summit and things are behind right now probably.

    Hi BurgerBoy,

Just a "Quick CD Tip" because I am not sure which of our products you plan to carry. LED Christmas lights are slammin' hot. Consumers like the fact that they are energy efficient and practically last forever. We are selling these 2-1 over incandescent Christmas lights. They are more pricey, but it long run they end up more economically practical.

PM sent to the owner here.

I plan on putting out your entire feed and I do have a site search engine that will give the customers what they search for so they will be able to find any of your products on the site.

I think that I will be putting your products on another site rather than the one you probably looked at.

It is a collectibles site and it has a lot of traffic and I also have Christmas lights, tree toppers, artificial Chrismas Trees, wreaths, and a lot of other Christmas stuff on it.
