Maybe they're targeting companies that primarily use the CPA channel to advertise. Be interesting to see a copy of their mailing list, huh?

Proof positive right there that ValueClick does not "think affiliate." Those are not affiliate_audience oriented sites.

Surprising list .. If it was a survey that included webmasters or online advertisers, how could they skip ABW and WMW .. and keep relatively unknown ones in the list. Poor choice IMO. One more example of people designing the surveys not knowing the industry participants

Haiko, they "hate" you because you're beautiful.

I've heard of one, maybe two of those. Checked a couple out, one of them is averaging about 2 new threads a day.

What are you guys talking about, I think someone posted on GeekVillage just last week... While they get mentioned here, their lack of traffic is an example of what happens when a forum is run by someone with fake morals. Steve unleashed so many underhanded players onto his visitors the site became a joke - natch!

That you are not on the list says more than being on that list.

    What WebWorker said.

I've been to a few of them a long time ago, but they weren't (and aren't, unless they changed a lot) too useful for affiliate marketing subjects. The other forums that CJ listed don't really focus on aff marketing--they have a broader, but not as detailed, look at multiple ways of making money online. So while they can be of use for checking out NON aff-marketing things, they get totally trounced by ABW when it comes to AM.

I think they're probably chicken! They know that if people see that ABW has exposed Merchant X as some kind of crook, that will interfere with Merchant X's ability to get new suckers. Same kind of thing with prospective merchants seeing what's been said about CJ itself.

They just never-minded the fact that when people type things like "affiliate marketing" into That Engine, ABW's going to come right up (#5 free listing, at the time of this post)...

I agree with webworker & Leader
VCLK thinks only of ADS. They see CJ as an ad platform.

Not to list ABW or A4U in the UK shows they do not think "affiliate"

    I've heard of and read:
    GeekVillage
    MarketingVOX
    sitepoint

but found little if any value in any of them. It also took me forever to get removed from marketing vox's emails.

They probably don't want to even mention ABW or have affiliates come here. I heard of a couple of them but can't remember the last time I was at their site.

It just shows how far removed ValueClick is from affiliate marketing.

Or they have some little deal worked out with those sites to mention them. They are all probably having the best traffic spike they've ever had just from people that are saying "wtf" and going to see what they are.
