Question Affiliate websites blocked from Mainland China
Affiliate websites are blocked from Mainland China

reason: ip assigned by hosting company is blocked, or the host DNS servers are blocked, not sure

Is this actually good or bad to your affiliate business ?

Will you transfer your sites to another host to solve the problem or leave it alone ?

When you do the host transfer,
unique I.P. address for domain is not a must ?

That's really a bad news for Affiliate guys. China has always been causing problems for online industry. It does take sometime for new things to be absorbed in China.

Not an issue to me, I think most merchants don't/can't even ship there.

I have a test affiliate site and I do see traffic from China.

I would not discount china from the online realm. Merchants are just itching to expand to china and their 1.3 billion consumers, well, not everybody will have access but the market is just too big to ignore.

There are lots of political influence and gatekeepers when it comes to online traffic going in-out

Who cares about traffic, I want customers. Chinese traffic is junk. I wish my host blocked chinese traffic.

    hi Chuek Hamrick

it is an entirely different issue at all

Here we refer to "Mainland China Only"

To my knowledge, many people order products from amazon.com who stay inside "Mainland China"

I blocked all traffic from China in my htaccess file. They come in and steal ideas, make cheap crappy copies of my designs and then use my words and pictures to sell them with on Alibaba. Since I don't ship there why let 'em look? China is not the only country blocked, but they made me learn how to do it.
