Now we are all "parasites"? What Next!
My linkshare traffic has taken a huge dive for the past 3 months, but all others have gone up? Seems like a lawsuit is in order from some of our merchants, at the least.
Someone at Linkshare needs to check out this company

    spywareremove.com/removeLinkSynergy.html

Just google "linksynergy" and there it is right on top.

Affiliate marketing is expected to become a major advertising tool for large merchants, who cannot possibly cover all of their keywords in searches.

That's nothing new. A lot of applications consider cookies as sypware.

Especially cookies from networks who don't take a firm stand prohibiting parasites. Bet you'll never see ShareASale.com cookies flagged as spyware.

Good article! Why is Linkshare not reading this?

Looks like Walmart may be the best way to go with little or no referral time. At least I know what I am really getting paid for.

From the article it appears that there are ways to get around the cookie problem, by just putting the information in the links.

Instead of cleaning things up, LinkShare is getting into the lead gen business... more dirt will be associated with their cookies going forward.
