Weird thing happening today for one of my websites.

I'm getting only 1/10th of the traffic it normally gets.

I checked my rankings accross the board and they're all the same on all major SE's. I know fridays are a bit slower, but never slower by 90%, which is puzzling. especially when all my rankings are exactly the same. ???

any ideas anyone? anyone ever seen this happen? I'm scratching my head on where all the traffic went. maybe the people in the industry my website is in are taking a holiday. hehehe....

Hey Sal,
Just noticed your logo. I am in Diamondback country. I was hoping for a rematch this year. But it was not to be. Joe Torre is one of the best. I grew up in NY with Maris, Mantle, et al on the tube. Joe Garigiola Sr. still calls some of the games out here. What a treat. This series I gotta root for the Angles. Maybe we get a rematch next year!!!!!!!

Hey T-Bone -

Being that you were in NY in the M & M days, did you ever read Ball Four by Jim Bouton?

If you liked the book, I've got a site dedicated to it (http://www.ballfourbook.com/) that includes an interview I had with Jim Bouton, a bunch of his old cards, letters I got from a bunch of guys in the book (Steve Barber, Frank Crosetti, Ralph Houk, etc.) in response to questions I sent them, and more.

I'm pulling for the Angels, though I can't stand the Rally Monkey thing. I'd love to see NY and Arizona clash again next year.

Shawn,
I never read that book. Can't find the time to read anymore. Do you remember the baseball card with both Jim Bouton and Al Downing on it? Man, I wish I had stashed those old cards away instead of trashing them. The earlry 60's Yankees were the best- Howard, Boyer, Kubek, Richardson, Pepitone (maybe), M&M. Drawing a blank on the rest. Thanks for tickleing that neuron!!

T-Bone -

Would that be card 219 from Topps in 1964 that you are referring to (Al Downing and Jim Bouton)? ;-)

Take a look at
http://www.velocitynyc.com/ballfour/youngace.shtml

That's the card, including the content from the back of it.

Ah yes, my poor yankees. Its weird having baseball still on TV but no yankees. I was hoping the Cards would make it. Would love to see Tino win another ring but oh well. Nothing's going right. Giants and jets are going nowhere. My knicks are headed for the cellar. Ah to be a NY sports fan

Thanks Shawn,
For the trip down memory lane. And my nostalgic wet eyes. Really can't tell you what that pic meant to me. I never thought to look up BB cards on the net.
