I'm in the process of planning tom monetize the game site. It's a turn based game similar to Warcraft.
I am considering PPC, CPM, as well as affiliate networkd (CJ in particular).
What has your experience been as far as best converting, most revenue, and best programs that convert for this, and other game types? I know this varies greatly but, need a general idea as far as revenue per 1000 page views, number of daily active users, etc. I might expect?
So to sum it up, I'm looking for advise on:
1. Best converting programs
2. Best targeting for this type of audience.
e.g. Advertising RealNetworks vs. products and services like Anonymous proxy, shopping, ringtones. etc.
3. Potential earninmgs.

Gaming traffic is usually untargeted enough that CPC or CPM works better than affiliate programs. Affiliate programs thrive with targeted traffic.

but affiliate network pays much better per user, and if you can "make" aff. networks untargetted, let's say randomly rotate them, would this work better?

Untargeted randomly rotated banners will yield pennies if your lucky while true CPC and CPM as MC suggested will at least yield dollars. Have you tried adsene?Continued Success,

No, have not tried anything on this site yet. Want to do some research, then test, then adjust accordingly. If gamers are not well "targetable" still, what types of ads would work best (context)?
