    Google Checkout (again)
Last year there was a lot of discussion about promoting Google Checkout..if it was good for affiliates, etc. I see a lot of merchants starting to include discounts for first time Google Checkout again this year. What was the final decision for everyone? Do affiliates get the credit/comm for the sale?

Just to clarify, the discussion was about whether transactions paid for using Google Checkout tracked for affiliates, not actually promoting Google Checkout.

To answer your question, it depends on the merchant, whether they have properly coded their site to track purchases made through Google Checkout. Fortunately, none of the merchants I promote use Google Checkout as I promote primarily travel merchants and they don't use it, but if any of my merchants did offer Google Checkout, I would ask the affiliate manager directly if they have confirmed tracking.

Three merchants who presented at Think Tank offer GCO. I made test purchases with all merchants and used GCO when I could.
Two of the three using GCO did not track.

It would be really helpful to give the details on the Test Purchases forum.

I don't have time to ask each individual aff. mgr. and really, if it's in the affiliate link area it should be something the affiliate earns commission on.
